The new QUASAR 50 kN universal testing machine was developed by the Italian leading manufacturer Galdabini. With the appropriate accessories, such as wedge bolt clamping heads, a 3-point bending device and the corresponding testing software, tests can now be performed on glass fiber reinforced plastics and thermoplastics in accordance with ISO 527-1 and other standards.
Test speeds can range from 0.0005 to 500 mm/min. This enables O-Ring Prüflabor Richter to carry out resistance tests on thermoplastic materials and also on high-strength thermoplastic elastomers, where the change in tensile strength and elongation at break is an important assessment criterion.
